Things to Do in Maui in the Rain Trails.com

Maui Ocean Center

The Maui Ocean Center is an aquarium where tourists can check out a 750,000-gallon tank with more than 2,000 fish in it. Visitors will learn about reefs, sea turtles, sharks and all sorts of other marine species. One of the most interesting attractions is the Stingray Dive where you can actually dive into the tank and swim with the stingrays. The facility stays open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. except in July and August, when it stays open until 6 pm.

The guild has 30 member artists including painters, sculptors, jewelry makers and wood workers. The guild is in a small plantation-era town. Admission is free and the guild is open every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Whalers Village Museum

It may be hard to believe, but Maui was once heavily dependent on whaling and that is evident at the Whalers Village Museum. You can learn an abundance about the whales themselves as well as about the lives of whalers. The village where the museum is located also offers fun rainy-day activities like lei making and hula lessons.
